A&T's Bierocks

Tony and I have finally found a meal we actually can both agree on and is our favorite - and we have fun preparing together. I'm pretty sure we've made bierocks 3 times in the past month, so it's time to share our delicious recipe with you since fall is around the corner!

Serving Amount:
8 (or if you're like our house, 4 servings)

Ingredients:
1 lb of hamburger meat or sausage, thawed
1/2 head of green cabbage, chopped
1/2 white onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. of celery salt
Salt and pepper to taste
1 package of biscuits (8)
1 bag of shredded cheese (optional)
Flour

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cook hamburger or sausage on medium heat in an uncovered skillet; drain.
3. Add chopped onion and cabbage to the meat, cover, and cook on medium heat till cabbage and onions are soft.
4. While the mixture is cooking, roll out biscuits in a large circle (but not too thin). Use flour to prevent sticking to the counter.
5. Remove mixture from heat and spoon mixture on center of dough (amount is your preference; we eyeball it). Top with as much cheese as you'd like!
6. Pull up the sides of the dough around the mixture; pinch to seal.
7. Place bierock pinch side down on an ungreased baking sheet.
8. Repeat process for remaining mixture and dough.
9. Bake for 18 - 22 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. Let cool for 5 minutes.
11. Enjoy!

We like to serve green beans with our beirocks for a little extra filler, especially when we try to only eat one! If you like sauce with yours, try mustard.

Try out our simple recipe and let me know what you think - I'd love to hear your feedback!

  1. I love bierocks and I like that you use biscuits. Making homemade dough is just TOO much darn work!
